Introducción.
I went to the school management office. I explained what my task was about and the manager sent me to the room number six. The room had a bed, a chair and a rose's picture on the wall. An elderly woman was knitting diligently on the chair. When I entered to the room, she looked at me with her eyes half-closed.
"Yes?" she asked.
"I´m a Secondary student" I explained shyly. I have to write an essay.
"Come in" She stopped knitting and gave a little pats on the bed.
"Sit here."
I sit and she started to knit again.
"What are you doing?" I requested.
"God is in my basket" she said.
"What are you knitting?" I said a little loudly this time.
She stopped again, she smiled and repeated "God is in my basket."
I took a look at the basket discreetly for if I was managing to glimpse God.
"God is here" she said. I prayed for Him to come and He did it.
The woman didn't said anything else. Finally I thanked her and left the room.
"What impression did she caused you?" the retirement home manager asked me.
"She says God is in her basket of knitting" I replied. "It seems to me that she is a little crazy."
"She was when she arrived here" the manager explained. "She had become widowed and she was alone. I suggested her pray to God in order to gave her peace and she did it."
" Soon afterwards an assistant taught her how to knit, and within six months she was knitting socks to everybody. She became the most popular woman in the entire retirement home."
"And now?" I asked.
"She is more than 90 years old but still she can knitting. She only says that God is in her basket."
Several weeks later I received a beautiful wool sweater of my size with a small note from the retirement home manager:
"Dear Christopher:
The woman you met here requested us we send you this gift. She thought you'll like to cover you with a piece of God.
She died three days ago. She was happy."
Last weekend, my boyfriend and I arrived at your popular cafeteria looking for a very nice time to spend together. The motto in your window reads "where your friends are as special as you are," unfortunately the service that day didn't reflect those words.
As soon as we arrived there we had the chance to sit at a table and we waited for almost half an hour for the waiter to help us. There were not too many people for this to happen but I have to point out that the music was good and this helped us to be pacient. However, when we were finally seviced, the waiter spilled a cup of coffee on my brand new jacket. It costed me 50 dollars to have it cleaned.
My jacket doesn't look that good anymore. I had never had an experience such like this anywhere. I hope you can understand my complaint because I want you to refund the money for another brand new jacket.
Sincerely yours,
Claudia Pérez
One day a young girl was taking a walk on the beach and stopped to look at the waves. Suddenly, she thought she saw something struggling in the water. It looked like a man who was having trouble swimming. At that moment, she reached for her glasses and then remembered she'd left them at home. She couldn't see the object clearly. Just then a big wave came, and the man was gone. She ran as fast as she could to get the lifeguard. As soon as they arrived back to the shore where she had seen the man, the lifeguard looked through his binoculars. He stold her he didn't see a thing. She was pretty embarrased. The next day she bought a newspaper. There was an article about dolphins swimming near the shore. When she read the article she realized that she had seen a dolphin in the water- not a man!. After that, she never went anywhere without her glesses again.
What are Paul's famous words about love?
Hello every body! How are you today?... Well, the following writing is about the truly love... I wish this help you...The book of 1st. Corinthians contains one of the best-known passages in the New Testament. It is Paul´s beautiful poem about love. Paul was sad to hear that the Corinthians were boasting about their spiritual gifts. They could have great abilities, Paul wrote, but without love, they had nothing. They could have enough faith to move mountains, and give all they owned to the poor. They could even offer their bodies as burnt sacrifices, but it would mean nothing unless they loved each other.
Love is patient, love is kind.
Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud.
Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not become angry easily.
Love does not remember wrongs done against it.
Love is not happy with evil, but is happy with truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things
Love never fails.
Three things will last forever: faith, hope, and love.
BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE.
GOD BLESS YOU.
