Introducción.

Hola!

Is it important what we eat?

Hello! How are you? I would like to explain how we can have a better health...and I say "we" because all of us can improve our daily nutritious habits.

Can you imagine how much the rate of illnesses can be reduced if we change our set menu?. Let me say that I did not believe it but I can see this true everyday. I have changed many things in my life and now I feel really good. I want to share this with all of you because I feel that is very important that you look after yourself in order to do what you believed would never happen! and it is very simple!.

Since junk food has come onto stage, health has getting worse. We can see rare diseases nowadays that we did not have in past days. Why? I think many of us wanted the answer to this question before some time. Well I am not an expert but look at the way you are eating... maybe we cannot change all the world ( immposible) but at least we should take care of those we have around us. Do not you think?... Think about it and I invite you to change YOUR LIFE.

When I Need You

This is a very nice song. It is a perfect song for those who are in love...I hope you like it.

(By Air Supply/ Celine Dion)

When I need you

Just close my eyes and I'm with you

And all that I so want to give you

It's only a heartbeat away

When I need love

I hold out my hands and I touch love

I never knew there was so much love

Keeping me warm night and day

Miles and miles of empty space in between us

a telephone can't take the place of your smile

But you know I won't be traveling for ever

It's cold out, but hold out and do like I do

When I need you

Just close my eyes and I'm with you

And all that I so want to give you babe

It's only a heartbeat away

It's not easy when the road is your driver

Honey, that's a heavy load that we bear

but you know, I won't be traveling a lifetime

It's cold out but hold out and do like I do

Oh I need you

When I need you

I hold out my hands and I touch love

I never knew there was so much love

Keeping me warm night and day

When I need you

Just close my eyes and I'm with you

and all that I so want to give you

It's only a heartbeat away.

My childhood years.

Thinking about my childhood years makes me very happy with me and the others. Most of us remember our childhood years as the most beautiful period of our lives. I think they are. When one is a kid is innocent and sees all things easily. All the world is beautiful and all is playing and laughing and jumping. But the most important thing is that we are honest and humble. I remember many things that I did without worries, only living the moment and smiling all the time. Aaaa...well we can still have something of that time and we'll have it in our hearts. Don't you think?

A thing that I should have done is to take more time with my friends, I was pretty shy (still) and I wish I had gone out instead of watched a lot of TV. Also I took a lot of time studying.. it's good for your grades .I wish I had more free time to play any sport like volleyball or riding a bicycle or something like that. I should have spent more time with my only sister. I feel very sad because I think I passed all the time fighting with her. I did so bad things.

Otherwise, I liked when my mother and my father played with me, when they were pacient and gave me all I needed. I would like to be like this now :)...Being child I learned that the world is new and good. All is hope and love.

There is no doubt, while we look at the world and see only bad things and dark hours, we can remember the children that have an entire life to live and are enjoying. We can learn still now how valuable and amazing is life. God give us new opportunities each day to change our way of living. Enjoy your life as a child!!!

God is here! (By Christopher De Vinck)

Many years ago, when I was in Secondary School, I never forgot a special task that I was requested to do. We have to write about anybody who was more than 70 years old. So I decided to visit a retirement home.

I went to the school management office. I explained what my task was about and the manager sent me to the room number six. The room had a bed, a chair and a rose's picture on the wall. An elderly woman was knitting diligently on the chair. When I entered to the room, she looked at me with her eyes half-closed.

"Yes?" she asked.

"I´m a Secondary student" I explained shyly. I have to write an essay.

"Come in" She stopped knitting and gave a little pats on the bed.

"Sit here."

I sit and she started to knit again.

"What are you doing?" I requested.

"God is in my basket" she said.

"What are you knitting?" I said a little loudly this time.

She stopped again, she smiled and repeated "God is in my basket."

I took a look at the basket discreetly for if I was managing to glimpse God.

"God is here" she said. I prayed for Him to come and He did it.

The woman didn't said anything else. Finally I thanked her and left the room.

"What impression did she caused you?" the retirement home manager asked me.

"She says God is in her basket of knitting" I replied. "It seems to me that she is a little crazy."

"She was when she arrived here" the manager explained. "She had become widowed and she was alone. I suggested her pray to God in order to gave her peace and she did it."

" Soon afterwards an assistant taught her how to knit, and within six months she was knitting socks to everybody. She became the most popular woman in the entire retirement home."

"And now?" I asked.

"She is more than 90 years old but still she can knitting. She only says that God is in her basket."

Several weeks later I received a beautiful wool sweater of my size with a small note from the retirement home manager:

"Dear Christopher:

The woman you met here requested us we send you this gift. She thought you'll like to cover you with a piece of God.

She died three days ago. She was happy."

Sleep well? Take care!

I would like to talk about that moment we all like to have.. also because is a human need. It is very important that we have a good night's sleep because it has an influence on how we feel the next day. In my case, let me say that it's very difficult to have a"normal day" when the night before I didn't sleep well or at all. Several studies says that a bad habit of sleeping late or not to sleep is the first consequence on the arising on the rate of diseases...and not only that but also a person who sleep the average hours (around 8) regularly has more probability of living 6 years more than those who sleep four or less per night. Wow!

Unfortunately, for the most part it is hard to get a good sleep because there are many factors that do not let us have this. For example, a person who works a lot needs to be awaken until he/she has finished working. Stress is the main reason for which a lot of people don't have "pleasant dreams". Well... a suggestion to those like this ones is to avoid to sleep late on weekends (when you haven't a lot o work) and don't drink alcohol, which is why you'll have a better way to get asleep during the week.

Are there so many things to do today at night?... Take your time to think if it's worth to do it and remember for one thing there is it's time!...Rest.

I really like this city!

Hello!!! I am Claudia, I want to express how happy I am living in this city and a little about the place where I am from.I am from Gonzalez city, a quiet and nice place where I had lived most of my life.
The first time my dad told me he was going to work hard to give me the opportunity to study I felt good. Maybe I did not know how much responsibility I was taking. But I moved to this city... when I arrived here I felt excited but at the same time I felt sad. I am the kind of person who often cries and I can not stop crying for the first five months... every night and a lot when my parents called me. I thought it was a kind of punishment and I really felt very bad.
Although my aunt supported me very much still I did not felt confident.. I had a lot of trouble to understand that this is an important step in my life... to be myself. Learning new things sometimes is painful but you know...it is a great experience because God let you grow as person. Now, along the two years I have lived here I feel comfortable and I like to wake up thinking that it does not matter what is going to happen this day but I have the God´s help to face whatever... Put your life in Him and He will act in favor of you.

A disappointed client

Dear Sir or Madam:

Last weekend, my boyfriend and I arrived at your popular cafeteria looking for a very nice time to spend together. The motto in your window reads "where your friends are as special as you are," unfortunately the service that day didn't reflect those words.

As soon as we arrived there we had the chance to sit at a table and we waited for almost half an hour for the waiter to help us. There were not too many people for this to happen but I have to point out that the music was good and this helped us to be pacient. However, when we were finally seviced, the waiter spilled a cup of coffee on my brand new jacket. It costed me 50 dollars to have it cleaned.

My jacket doesn't look that good anymore. I had never had an experience such like this anywhere. I hope you can understand my complaint because I want you to refund the money for another brand new jacket.

Sincerely yours,

Claudia Pérez

Writing a letter of complaint

Dear Sir or Madam:

On July 16 my friends and I arrived at your inn hoping to spend an enjoyable weekend. Unfortunately, because of your poor sevice, our weekend was a disaster. Since your ad says "have a fabulous time or get your money back," I am requesting that you refund our money.

From the moment we arrived, there were problems with the service. First, a very unfriendly desk clerk couldn't find our reservation. After waiting almost half an hour, we were led by another unfriendly clerk to our room. The room, which had a view of a parking lot instead of the bay, had not yet been cleaned, so we found dirty towels on the beds and cigarette butts in the ashtrays. Despite this problems, none of your employees apologized to us. This was not the weekend we had been looking forward to.

Service at your inn was not always like this. My previous visits were always enjoyable because of the courteous service and clean rooms with beautiful views. Until things change at your inn, I will never recommend it to anyone. I expect to receive my refund shortly.

Sincerely yours,

Dale Thomas

Creativity takes you to win!

Lucy Gomez is the most creative person I know. She started piano lessons when she was only six years old. At school, she was always creating interesting projects in her art class. When she was only twelve years old, she won a citywide poetry contest. Her parents were very proud of her.

Now Lucy works as a sitcom writer for a popular TV show. She works wiyh a group of writers, and together thy have to think of fresh ideas. They also have to come up with funny dialog for the actors on their show because the actors have to play believable characters that will make the audience laugh. It is not an easy job, but Lucy does it well.

She starts work late in the morning and often works until seven or eight at night.

Lucy is very curious. She likes to travel and meet new people who have opinions that are different from hers. She often carries a notebook with her and writes down what she sees or hears. Lucy tells me that these new experiences are a good source of ideas for her work. I always enjoy talking to her and am happy to know someone as bright and creative as Lucy.

It wasn't what it looked like!

One day a young girl was taking a walk on the beach and stopped to look at the waves. Suddenly, she thought she saw something struggling in the water. It looked like a man who was having trouble swimming. At that moment, she reached for her glasses and then remembered she'd left them at home. She couldn't see the object clearly. Just then a big wave came, and the man was gone. She ran as fast as she could to get the lifeguard. As soon as they arrived back to the shore where she had seen the man, the lifeguard looked through his binoculars. He stold her he didn't see a thing. She was pretty embarrased. The next day she bought a newspaper. There was an article about dolphins swimming near the shore. When she read the article she realized that she had seen a dolphin in the water- not a man!. After that, she never went anywhere without her glesses again.

What we should do before getting married.

If young couples in my country want to get married, they should meet each other very well. For the most part, couples are friends, they maybe go out for a dinner or to the movies. They have good times together and they like to be together.

When a couple decide to get married they tell their parents and their respective families that they want to. Generally, the young man visits his future wife's familiy and get the permission of her parents, then they start to plan the wedding. In general the man gives an engagement ring to his girlfriend (still) to state the engagement.

What are Paul's famous words about love?

Hello every body! How are you today?... Well, the following writing is about the truly love... I wish this help you...The book of 1st. Corinthians contains one of the best-known passages in the New Testament. It is Paul´s beautiful poem about love. Paul was sad to hear that the Corinthians were boasting about their spiritual gifts. They could have great abilities, Paul wrote, but without love, they had nothing. They could have enough faith to move mountains, and give all they owned to the poor. They could even offer their bodies as burnt sacrifices, but it would mean nothing unless they loved each other.

Love is patient, love is kind.

Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud.

Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not become angry easily.

Love does not remember wrongs done against it.

Love is not happy with evil, but is happy with truth.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things

Love never fails.

Three things will last forever: faith, hope, and love.

BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE.

GOD BLESS YOU.

My vacations 2008

Well... I travel to Puerto Vallarta with my aunt and my sister last July. We were so excited being there. My sister´s teacher organized this trip. At first my sister was the only one who wants to go but at last my aunt invited me. How are you going to refuse to this?.. Well the first day we arrived to San Luis. Then we stopped at a restaurant to have some to eat. It was pretty cold so I stayed in the bus. When we arrived to Puerto Vallarta we could see the greatest ships (I do not remember how was tha name of the place)... I only remember that they were beautiful.
